Results for the 1997 Nude Recreation Week Special Event Stations are in. This year Bob, N5KF worked stations all week long, and with help from Ben, WD5HLS, racked up 471 contacts. That's more than the combined total of all participating members last year! Curtis, AE4BT also worked 41 stations from TN. |

So far about 200 SASE's in to the PO Box in Austin.
The demo station at the 1997 Western Naturist Gathering went well! I contacted a total of 4 stations, one of which was at Lupin Naturist Club. I won't claim this was the first 2-way contact on ham radio between 2 nudist resorts, but it is the first time that I know of that two members of NARSIG did so. Of the other 3 stations, one was a regular on the 20m net and mIRC chat room, and the other 2 were non-naturist friends I went to school with in San Luis Obispo, CA. By the way, the Western Naturists Gathering itself was also a great success! Congratulations to Swallows Sun Island for a job well done!
