International NudeNet, a group of amateur radio operators with an interest in clothing optional (CO) activities, will be sponsoring a special event to celebrate North American Nude Recreation Week. We will make contacts with other ham stations all over the globe from July 3rd - 9th, 1994. This activity is designed to promote awareness of CO recreation. On the air we will talk about various CO events at both public and private sites near each station we talk with. As a confirmation of the contact we will send a certificate and some brochures promoting CO activities. This should serve to promote nude recreation not only during North American Nude Recreation Awareness Week, but also when the certificate arrives and when it is displayed.

Most special events send out custom certificates and ours will be no exception. We also will include promotional brochures from some of the national or local groups in the area of the station we contact. This will help to reinforce the CO message and give meaningful local contact infor mation for the people we talked to during the special event.

To help spread the word about the special event we will place notices in magazines such as QST, 73 and CQ. We will also put the word out to newspapers and magazines through the wire services so that the general public is aware of our activities. This will help to promote the event not only for the ham community, but also the general public.

What you can do to help promote the North American Nude Recreation Week amateur radio special event:

• Send information about any CO events in your area that are occurring during NANRW, July 3rd - 9th.
• If you have any pictures or promotional materials that you would like to see included, send a copy to Jim Campbell, our coordinator, at the return address listed in this newsletter.
• If you know an amateur radio operator who is interested in nude recreation, please pass this newsletter on to him.
